Receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CWRU, independently licensed as both a social worker (LISW) and chemical dependency counselor (LICDC), Ms. Carrel has been employed in the field for more than 20 years, providing screenings and assessments, direct services (individual, group and family counseling), supervision, developing programming and performing QI functions. Assuming a system’s approach to Alcohol and other Drug treatment, Ms. Carrel has intervened with dually diagnosed and forensic adults, applying cognitive behavioral and motivational interviewing techniques.
